Peristiwa Cuti Musim Sejuk....

Assalamu’alaikum, salam sejahtera dan salam satu Malaysia. Kepada semua pelajar University of Otago, selamat kembali ke sekolah dan memulakan semester 2 tahun ini dengan penuh semangat. Pasti ramai yang mengambil peluang cuti musim sejuk yang lalu untuk bercuti sekitar NZ. Ada  juga yang kembali ke tanah air (terima kasih Air Asia). Yang pasti, Dunedin tidak kesepian pada musim cuti kali ini malah telah dibanjiri ramai pelajar Malaysia dari univeristi-universiti seluruh New Zealand (Wellington, Christchurch dan Auckland) yang datang bagi menyertai dan memeriahkan BERSATU GAME 2011.

Otago sebagai tuan rumah berhempas pulas memberikan yang terbaik sepanjang kejohanan sukan berlangsung serta memastikan setiap yang hadir mendapat pengalaman berharga sepanjang berkampung di sini. Kami di kelab UMNO OTAGO mengucapkan tahniah kepada para pemenang serta tidak lupa ucapan terima kasih kepada semua tenaga kerja BERSATU GAME 2011.

Bersempena dengan BERSATU GAME, Kelab UMNO OTAGO turut menganjurkan Pertandingan Bahas ala Parlimen yang disertai oleh wakil Kelab UMNO setiap kawasan pada malam 2, 3 dan 4 Julai 2011 bertempat di Hunter Centre. Acara bahas dimeriahkan lagi dengan adanya Pasar Malam yang diadakan di bangunan yang sama. Pelbagai juadah dijual pada ketiga-tiga malam tersebut dan sambutan amat menggalakkan. Ada yang setia menunggu di Hunter Centre sejak pukul 6 petang walaupun pertandingan  bahas dan pasar malam bermula pada pukul 7 petang. Ramai tidak melepaskan peluang untuk menikmati menu-menu Malaysia yang sememangnya dirindui anak perantau. Ternyata kehangatan berjual beli di pasar malam menular ke bilik pertandingan bahas berlangsung. Kerusi dalam bilik bahas penuh dengan penyokong yang datang memberi semangat kepada pasukan bahas masing-masing. Terima kasih semua atas sokongan anda.

Bagi yang tidak dapat hadir, ini sedikit info tentang Pertandingan Bahas yang berlansung.

1) Penggunaan internet membantu perkembangan minda kanak-kanak.

2) Penghantaran pelajar ke luar negara jurusan profesional wajar diteruskan.

Hafiz has a range of experience cooking for not just Malaysian but the international community, from Iftar during Ramadhan at the local mosque, Malaysian welcoming gatherings, request by the local community  and also small gatherings of under 50 people. Look for the “de Kelantan”, and feel home cooking away from home.
